Begin or continue

New Game starts the story from Day One. Continue restores the automatic save made after your latest major choice. Load opens the automatic save and three manual save slots.

Read and choose

Read each scene, then select one of the available choices. A locked choice explains what prevents you from taking it. On a keyboard, press the number shown beside an available choice to select it.

Your decisions can change Health, Power, Family Safety, Public Support, Regime Suspicion, Supplies, companion trust, and district loyalty. Changes appear above the next passage.

Use the command field

The choices are the main way to play, but the field marked What do you do? accepts short commands. Try:

• examine or look to inspect the current scene
• speak to mara or another known companion’s name
• use power, hide, attack, or protect when the scene allows it
• inventory to see what you carry
• journal, codex, or map to open your records
• help or ? to see the command list

Understand the display

Each day is divided into Morning, Evening, and Night. Major actions advance time. The left side tracks your condition, resources, and objectives. The right side tracks companions, district loyalty, and recent consequences.

On a phone or tablet, use the fixed Status and Allies controls at the bottom of the screen to open these same panels.

Journal, codex, and map

The Journal records discovered lore and past decisions. The Codex reveals people after you meet them and shows their trust. The Map shows district loyalty, with the silver outline marking your current location.

Toolbar and saves

• Restart scene returns to the checkpoint before the current scene.
• Save records progress in one of three manual slots.
• Load restores an automatic or manual save.
• Journal opens lore, the codex, decisions, and map.
• Settings changes text size, typewriter text, and motion. It can also replay the tutorial.

Saves and settings are stored in this browser. Clearing browser data or changing devices can remove them.

The prototype

This edition covers Days One through Three. There is no single “correct” political path: your pattern of choices shapes the ending summary and the person the Revolutionary is becoming.
